Min Debut plade

Jeg har fået muligheden for at lave min første soloplade sammen med min fantastiske producer, Dennis.

Jeg kommer fra Island, men har boet i Danmark siden 2014. Jeg har altid været sikker på, at jeg gerne ville blive en del af underholdningsindustrien og er uddannet skuespiller fra Island. 

Musik er min store drøm, og min første smagsprøve på livet som musiker skete i 2011. Jeg var i 10. klasse og formand for elevrådet. Vi lavede en parodisang, som blev vist til vores galaaften. Lang historie kort, sangen gik viralt og har i dag over 10 millioner streams worldwide på tværs af de forskellige platforme. 

Den bliver stadig afspillet 5000 gange om måneden på Spotify alene.

 

Efter at jeg kom til Danmark, blev min musikkarriere sat på pause. Jeg fik min uddannelse, fik børn og blev gift.

I 2023 kunne jeg så for alvor mærke, at nu var det tid til at finde musikken igen. 

Jeg meldte mig til KarriereKanonen samme år, og mine sange blev anbefalet med det samme.

Herefter lærte jeg min producer, Dennis, at kende, og tingene har udviklet sig rigtig hurtigt siden.

Vi har allerede udgivet et par singler med stor succes. Tre ud af fire singler har landet på “New Music Friday” på Spotify, både i Danmark og i Sverige.

Lige nu har jeg lige knap 3000 månedlige lyttere på Spotify.

Vi er næsten i mål med pladen, men mangler hjælp for at blive helt færdige.

Vi vil derfor gerne gøre det muligt for jer at købe rettighederne til fire ud af de ti sange, som pladen vil bestå af, og på den måde indsamle midler, som skal få os helt i mål.

 

Hvis alt går som smurt, regner vi med at kunne udgive pladen i efteråret!

Answers to the most frequently asked questions

BeMajor is a crowdfunding platform tailored for music projects. Artists can present their project ideas to fans, who can then financially contribute to these projects. In return, fans receive unique rewards, and depending on the project, a share of the revenue from streaming platforms once the music is released.

Fans can receive a variety of rewards depending on the project and their level of contribution. These rewards may include exclusive access to early releases, signed merchandise, personal acknowledgments in the album credits, VIP tickets to shows, and even personalized experiences with the artists.

Reward delivery times vary by project, as each artist sets their schedule. Typically, rewards are distributed after the project is successfully funded and the work is completed. Estimated delivery dates for each reward tier are provided on the project page. For this project, the expected release date of the music is set to December 05. Artists are encouraged to regularly update backers about the project's progress and any changes in delivery times.

When a music project is successfully funded and released on streaming platforms, fans who contributed to the project may receive a share of the revenue generated by the music, depending on the campaign structure. The specific percentage is set by the artist at the beginning of the campaign.

If a project fails to meet its funding goal, backers will not be charged. This ensures that funds are only collected and used if the project has adequate support for completion.

Crowdfunding creative projects like music involves some inherent risks. While artists on BeMajor are committed to completing their projects and delivering rewards, unforeseen challenges can arise that affect the project timeline or outcome. We encourage artists to communicate transparently with backers about any potential delays or changes. Backers should be aware that project timelines and deliverables may shift, and in rare cases, projects might not come to fruition. BeMajor works to minimize these risks but cannot guarantee project outcomes. Each project page includes a "Risks and Challenges" section where artists detail potential obstacles and their plans to overcome them.

We did it but..

First of all - I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting my dream! 

We did it - we reached our goal, which is so amazing that I can almost not believe it. Thank you, thank you, thank you. 

 

It isn´t all great though, and I want to tell you all about it. 

As you know we did sign with a record label. This was great news as it helps us get our music out to a greater audience and comes with great opportunities. 

We though we had covered everything by increasing the “sold” songs from 4 to 8, but it turns out we were wrong. 

 

This week has been incredibly stressful because we found out that it wouldn´t be as easy as we thought to distribute the royalties to our backers. It is a complicated tech issue between the two parties involved, that I won´t bore you with the details of.

But long story short - It is not possible to distribute the royalties to our backers as we had promised. 

We have tried everything, but unfortunately it cannot be done. 

So what happens now?

  1. We understand if you wish to cancel your pledge because of this. If you wish to do so, please send an email to support@bemajor.com. You have until the 1st of October.
  2. If you still wish to support the project, you will still receive all of the package content you have bought (t-shirt, tickets ec), and we will be forever grateful

Risks

All projects have their risks and challenges. Be sure to read them all before pledging.

Der er mange ting, som kan gå galt i sådan et projekt, men da vi er næsten i mål, tænker jeg, at risikoen er minimal. 

Den store “hvad hvis”-faktor er, om pladen bliver en succes og slår igennem på den danske musikscene.

Det er vores store drøm at kunne leve af vores musik, men før det kan lykkes, skal stjerner og måne stå helt rigtigt. Der er rigtig mange faktorer på spil, som vi ikke kan kontrollere.

Vi lover at levere fantastisk musik og at promovere den så godt, vi overhovedet kan, og så må vi se, hvor vinden blæser os hen.
